Free - Better Motorway Driving Event on Sunday 30th September 2012

Motorways are the safest roads in the country when it comes to accident statistics, yet many people avoid them or are anxious when using them.

Northampton Advanced Motorists (NAM), together with Northamptonshire Police’s Driver Training Unit, are inviting members of the public to join them for an event aimed at overcoming such worries.

This event is on Sunday 30th September at Police Headquarters, Wootton Hall, Mereway Northampton. You can book a drive in a police car, with an officer who will talk you through the best way to deal with all aspects of motorway driving. Then, you can drive the same route in your car, with an advanced motoring observer giving you guidance and feedback.

We ran this event last year and it was a great success – the feedback from those attending was fantastic. It’s a great opportunity for people to learn about advanced driving in general and motorway driving in particular.

This event is free to residents of Northamptonshire. To book a slot starting at 10.00am up until 2.30pm ring Ian Phillips on 07967 651820. You can view details of this event and other activities of advanced motoring on www.iamnpton.org.uk.
