How to help fight the wind farm appeal …….
Please put your notice about the wind farm appeal, which was included in Helmdon Voice, in a prominent position as soon as possible. The Inspector is making the first of two visits to the village on 21 May and it would be good to show the strength of feeling against the wind farm. It does not matter if you think your property will not be on her route, as she may well make a tour of the village.
Also: Please don’t forget that your presence at the Public Inquiry which begins on 15 May 2012 to hear the appeal of Broadview Energy Ltd against the decision to refuse planning permission to erect five wind turbines in Helmdon, will also show how much villagers are against them.
The appeal will be heard by Elizabeth Fieldhouse DipTP, DipUD, MRTPI who is appointed by the Secretary of State to hold the Inquiry and determine the appeal. The Inquiry, which will be held in the council chamber at South Northants Council, Springfields, Towcester, is scheduled to last a maximum of eight days. Elizabeth Fieldhouse will announce her decision in mid July. The appeal can either be upheld or dismissed.
