Village Notice Board

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE POLICE

Putting Communities First

Call 101 - non emergencies and enquiries

With the nice weather and the harvest underway we have received some reports of potential hare coursing/poaching incidents around the county.

If you see any suspicious vehicles or person(s) with dogs on or around farmland that could be hare coursing please report this by calling Northamptonshire Police on 101. If there is a crime in progress consider ringing 999.

If possible give information on:

  • What is happening
  • The exact location (a local landmark can be useful)
  • The date and time of the incident
  • Who is involved (e.g. the number of people, what they are wearing, are they carrying anything or have any dogs).
  • The make, model, colour and registration number of any vehicle involved
  • If it is safe to do so take photos
  • Remember to ask for an incident number

Please keep gates shut and lock/secure them where possible. Please report any incidents or suspicious circumstances if you think that someone has driven a vehicle or been hare coursing/poaching on your land.
