Update November 21 2012
Broadview Energy Ltd - High Court Hearing
HSGWAG has now received confirmation of the date of the High Court Hearing in London. Broadview Energy Ltd has been successful in expediting the hearing and it will now take place on 5th and 6th December rather than next June as previously indicated. Broadview is an interested party as opposed to the actual claimants (SNC and Veronica Ward) who oppose the Treasury who will file their case shortly. All four will be
represented by barristers for the hearing. HSGWAG is also an interested party.
Spring Farm Ridge Windfarm – Update 17 November 2012
Dear Local Resident
We are delighted to let you know that we have been successful in our recent request for donations and have hit the financial target we set ourselves at the beginning of October. Veronica Ward will now be able to take her challenge forward to the High Court to try and overturn the Government inspector’s decision to grant planning permission for the five proposed wind turbines at Spring Farm Ridge.
We have been overwhelmed by the support and, more importantly, the financial commitment shown by the local communities in all of the impacted villages.
HSGWAG would like to take this opportunity to say a very big
to all those who have contributed, as were it not for your generosity Veronica would have had to withdraw from the appeal to the High Court.
We have recently learnt that the date for the hearing in the High Court has now been provisionally set for June 2013 although this date may be brought forward as Broadview have requested an earlier hearing.
Once again, thank you. We are delighted to bring you this excellent news in our bid to prevent these wind turbines being built.
