Have your say on policing priorities
On the 15 November 2012 all eligible voters within Northamptonshire will be able to vote for a Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for the county, who will replace Northamptonshire Police Authority.
The role of the PCC is to represent the public in policing and community safety. Therefore, much emphasis is placed on how they involve the public and take account of their views and concerns in their decision making.
Northamptonshire Police Authority, Northamptonshire Police and the Daventry District and South Northamptonshire Community Safety Partnership are asking you to have your say by taking part in a consultation to help inform the PCC when setting their priorities for crime and policing for 2013/14.
The feedback will also help inform the priorities and work undertaken by the Daventry District and South Northamptonshire Community Safety Partnership, which is made up of representatives from Northamptonshire Police and Police Authority, Daventry District Council, South Northamptonshire Council, Northamptonshire County Council, NHS, Probation and others.
There are many ways you can take part in this consultation:
• You can take part in our online survey at www.northants.police.uk
• You can request a postal survey
• We can send you a “have your say” pack, which can be used by community groups or groups of friends and family to feedback your views collectively
To receive a postal survey or ‘have your say’ pack, call 01604 888113 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your views are very important so please do take a few minutes to take part in the survey.
