BRACKLEY FRINGE FESTIVAL
2nd/3rd August 2014
A not for profit community festival organised by a keen group of volunteers who care about Brackley, surrounding villages and their communities. We wanted to provide a stage for amateur artists to perform on, to provide entertainment for the community of Brackley and surrounding villages, friends, family and welcomes anyone from near and far to join in the fun.
The festival incorporates Music, Drama, Comedy, Arts and Crafts, so hopefully will appeal to everyone. We aim to put on a diverse range of acts that will appeal to everyone young and old who have many different tastes. We also want to include as many local businesses as possible, using local venues to host some of the entertainment and to encourage the community to use businesses around them. We have many venues now signed up and are keen to be part of the festival.
We don’t want anyone to be left out so we’re trying to use all forms of communication to let people know about the festival – internet, email, posters around Brackley and villages, visiting groups and organizations, having a stand at various venues so people can come and chat to us and we will be having a mention on local radio.
The festival will cost a lot to put on and we’re trying to raise as much money as possible, so we have organized a few fundraisers. We are trying to do a variety of fundraisers for different tastes (with more to follow) –
A Buddy Holly tribute act with legends of Rock ‘n’ Roll – Thursday 28th November - Brackley Football Club – 8pm (Doors open at 7pm)
Afternoon Tea Dance – Sunday 15th December – Brackley Town Hall – 2-5pm
Titch Interactive Theatre (3 – 10yr olds) – Monday 17th February - Brackley Football Club – 2pm
Robbie Williams Tribute Act –Saturday 1st March - Brackley Football Club – 8pm (Doors Open at 7pm)
It’s essential that we sell advanced tickets otherwise there is a risk of these events being cancelled. The more money we can raise the better the festival will be.
