Summer Skate Park Sessions in Brackley

Young people will have fun and learn some exciting new skills during a series of skate park sessions in Brackley this summer.

Delivered by qualified instructors from Team Rubicon, these sessions are for young people aged 11 – 19 and cost only £1.

This money will be put towards a new permanent skate park facility in Brackley.

There is also a chance to take part in a number of graffiti art workshops that run alongside the skate park sessions.

Councillor Rosie Herring, SNC’s portfolio holder for community engagement and wellbeing said: “We know there are some keen skateboarders in and around Brackley and here is a chance for them to improve their skills and have fun at the same time.”

There is no need to book, just turn up on the night with your scooter, bike or skateboard as per each session - helmets must be worn.

Please note sessions are outdoors within the grounds of Brackley Leisure Centre in Springfield Ways, and will not run if it is raining.

The schedule is: Skate Jam Event on Thursday, 29 May between 2pm and 6pm, Scooter session on Friday, 13 June between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, Skateboard session plus graffiti art on Friday, 27 June between 7.30pm and 9.30p, a Scooter session on Friday, 11 July between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, Skateboard and graffiti art session on Friday, 25 July between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, a BMX session on Friday, 8 August between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, with a Skate Finale (skateboard, scooter, BMX and graffiti art) on Friday, 22 August between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
