Countdown to summer holiday fun begins
Thousands of bookings will be made when the lines open early next month for South Northamptonshire Council’s Sports, Play Leisure and ArTs programme (SPLAT).
Last year more than 2,300 bookings were made for the summer holiday programme of children’s activities which includes performing arts, video game programming, animation workshops, archery, den making and a wide range of sports.
The SPLAT brochures have been delivered to schools in the district and can be downloaded now at www.southnorthants.gov.uk/SPLAT
Printed copies are also available from our Customer Contact Centres in Brackley and Towcester, from libraries, and on request by calling 01327 322059 or emailing email@example.com
New this year are the Activity Hubs which give children aged eight to 16 opportunities to take part in a range of exciting sports and arts activities all on one site.
They will be held in Bugbrooke, Deanshanger, Middleton Cheney, Roade and Silverstone between 10am - 3pm on weekdays from Monday, 28 July to Friday, 23 August.

Other highlights include a performing arts and sports camps for eight to 16-year-olds including horse riding, badminton and golf.
Free informal Play sessions can be enjoyed around the district’s villages in association with Sure Start and the fantastic national Play Day event will be in Towcester on Wednesday, 6 August.
And to round off the summer, Get Active @ Salcey Forest is packed with lots of fun events to get the whole family active in the forest on Wednesday, 27 August.
