Sign up to work at this year’s elections
People who would like to earn some extra money in time for the summer can apply to work at this year’s elections in May.
South Northamptonshire Council is currently recruiting for staff to work at polling stations across the district or to help with the verification process at Towcester Centre for Leisure.
Elections will be held on Thursday, 5 May for Police and Crime Commissioner.
The council is recruiting poll clerks and presiding officers to work at the polling stations on Thursday, 5 May as well as verification staff to work in the hours after the election closes.
Poll clerks will earn £115 alternatively, those who have previously worked as a poll clerk at least three times can apply to work as presiding officers at polling stations where they will earn in the region of £195 per day.
Positions are also available for people to work as verification assistants overnight on Thursday, 5 May – Friday, 6 May Towcester Centre for Leisure. Staff will be paid in the region of £90 - £135 depending upon the verification end time.
Previous experience is preferred but not essential, except for those applying as presiding officers who must have previously worked as poll clerks.
