Celebrate National Play Day in Towcester
This summer the SPLAT (Sport, Play, Leisure and ArTs) team will be running a free event in Towcester to help celebrate National Play Day.
Packed with lots of fun activities and games to keep children entertained, the event will include two play buses, bouncy castles, talks from the Blue Cross animal charity, plus many more outdoor activities.
South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) will also be hosting a Connecting Community event, which will provide parents and guardians the opportunity to gain any financial advice they may need while their children are kept busy with the fun activities on offer.
Cllr Cooper, SNC’s portfolio holder for community and wellbeing, said: “The National Play Day event should be a great day out for all the family, giving children of all ages the chance to participate in some active and educational activities.
“As an added bonus, if anyone has any financial concerns, they’ll be able to access some advice from our helpful teams while being able to keep their children occupied with the activities on offer.”
The event will be taking place at the Towcester Recreation Ground in Islington Road from 10am to 3pm on Wednesday, 3 August 2016.
This event has been organised as part of the summer SPLAT programme, which runs until Friday, 2 September.
