Council encourages healthy habits for children over Easter
As children look forward to a feast of Easter treats, South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) has arranged another exciting programme of holiday activities to help them burn off the calories.
The Activity Hub at Brackley Leisure Centre is part of the council’s Sport, Play, Leisure and ArTs (SPLAT) programme and features a range of sports including; swimming, football, cricket, dodgeball and a bouncy castle.
Cllr Rosie Herring, SNC’s portfolio holder for community engagement and wellbeing said: “A healthy life starts with healthy habits learned at an early age. So we are pleased to offer once again this chance for children in the district to stay active over the holidays.”
The SPLAT programme is open to children aged five to 15 and kicks off Monday, 4 April and ends Friday, 8 April.
Sessions can be booked as a short day ( 9am to 3pm) and cost £13.95, or a long day (9am to 5pm) and costs £17.95.
Parents and guardians can save 10 per cent if they wish to book their child in for the whole week. A full week of short sessions costs £60 and a week of long sessions is £80.
Drop-in sessions are also available at £3 for an hour or £5 for two hours.
