Booking lines open for half-term hubs
Booking lines are now open for the May half-term hubs following a cracking Easter edition.
South Northamptonshire Council’s (SNC) holiday activity hubs once again proved their popularity with a host of activities including arts, crafts, dodgeball, dance, and more, as part of a programme designed to keep children happy and active whilst off school for the Easter holidays.
The next edition of the hubs will be running at Winchester House School in Brackley from Tuesday, 30 May to Friday, 2 June with booking lines open from Monday, 8 May. Alongside the core programme of multi-sports and creative sessions, the half-term hubs will feature guest activities including gymnastics, tennis, dodgeball, athletics and dance.
Cllr Karen Cooper, SNC's portfolio holder for health and wellbeing said: “The hubs programme is a great way to encourage children to keep active and have lots of fun whilst also offering an affordable childcare programme for parents.
“There is a great mix of sports as well as creative activities, to help build confidence through new experiences and a chance to make new friends.”
The May half-term hubs will run at Winchester House School in Brackley and all the staff who run the sessions are DBS checked (formerly CRB). The activities are open to girls and boys aged five to 15 years old and are split into two age groups.
Full day sessions, from 8.45am to 5pm, cost £18.95 per session while the shorter session from 8.45am to 3pm costs £14.95. Places are limited and must be booked in advance on a first-come-first-served basis.
