A beautiful village on the south bank of the River Swere, South Newington is surrounded by meadows, small farms and views of the countryside. Houses and cottages huddle peacefully behind the narrow road snaking through the village. The early 14th century Norman church is famous for its well-preserved wall paintings

Bush House, Wiggington Road, South Newington, OX15 4JR
Created in 2011, nearly three acres of herbaceous borders, shrubs, dual-level pond and stream. Orchard screened by roses and vines. Kitchen garden, walled parterre, knot garden. Approximately 1,000 native broad-leaved trees planted from 2008 around an eight acre field. Only assistance dogs permitted.

Previously the pride and joy of the former owners, the present owners took over the house three years ago. They have now re-designed and re-planted the garden themselves. There is a Mediterranean-style patio garden on the west side and on the east side a more traditional English cottage garden and vegetable patch. Dogs allowed on lead.

Attractive garden with pleasant enclosed feel with adjacent 17th century barn and Grade 2 listed house, with colony of nesting swifts under the slates and white doves in the barn.
