Competition winner hungry to learn
A business in Helmdon has become one of three lucky winners of a food safety course after completing an online survey about South Northamptonshire Council’s (SNC) support services.
One of the three competition winners was Tanks a Lot in Helmdon, who offer off-road tank driving experiences to the public, as well as corporate experience days for large groups.
The survey was featured on both SNC and Cherwell District Council’s websites, with the winners selected at random from those who had filled out the survey.
Those taking part were entered into a draw to win one of three CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) eLearning courses in Level Two Food Safety in Catering.
The brief questionnaire was part of both councils’ drive to find out how they can improve services to help businesses comply with food and health and safety regulations, as well as save them money.
Cllr Dermot Bambridge, portfolio holder for environmental services, said: “In our ever changing world it is important for businesses to ensure that they keep up-to-date with standards and regulations.
“By taking part in this survey, businesses have been able to help us identify what we could improve to better serve those operating in the district. We want to do all that we can to help businesses achieve the required standards, so we hope this survey offers some valuable insights as well as a useful prize to those winners who participated.”
Vanessa Dick of Tanks a Lot, said: “We work hard to make sure we, as a business, are always up to date on new regulations and training, so we are grateful that SNC has been so proactive in requesting feedback from us. It’s a nice added bonus to have been picked as a winner for one of the eLearning courses.”
