Helmdon Gardening Club Summer Outing

The Swiss Garden, Shuttleworth
“An outstanding example of the Regency fashion for creating landscapes in a picturesque alpine style. It is a peaceful, tranquil space, and one which has new vistas revealed at every turn. Within the garden are 13 listed structures, an adjacent woodland sculpture trail and three resident peacocks”.
Kathy Brown’s Garden, Stevington, Beds
The Manor House Garden extends to four and a half acres and has many different areas of interest including: formal garden with clipped jury, cottage garden with honeysuckle, rose and clematis pergolas, wisteria and laburnum walk, major climbing rose displays, exuberant container garden displays, edible flower border, wild flower meadow, avenues of white stemmed birches, metasequoia, eucalypts and gingkos, three art gardens using naturalistic planting schemes and a fourth with living Rothko murals.
£30 members, £35 non-members to include travel and entrance to both gardens, plus afternoon tea.
