Online directory is ready for business
Companies in South Northamptonshire can promote their services for free by registering for a new online business directory.
South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) has launched the ‘Its Local’ business directory to provide a comprehensive list of services in the area.
Businesses can go online and search for a specific company name, or generic service and the directory will return details of any relevant registered matches.
Cllr Stephen Clarke, SNC’s portfolio holder for economic development, regeneration and housing, said: “This service provides a free platform for businesses to advertise so that customers can see exactly what’s available across the district.
“By promoting local businesses and encouraging people to spend their money in South Northamptonshire we sustain a strong and vibrant economy.
“Businesses can research local suppliers, manufacturers and traders to identify opportunities for local trading.
“Many local businesses are already registering their company details and we hope that more will follow.”
When searched, users will be provided with the name, address and phone number of any matching companies, which will be cross referenced against a generic map of the area, pinpointing their location. Each business can register their details and service category for free.
The directory also includes options for a street view, web address, map and contact details as well as any social media links and opening hours.

Whilst SNC lists businesses on the ‘It’s Local’ business directory, it does not endorse them.
