ARTIST IN RESIDENCE TO DISPLAY YEAR’S WORK

An exciting new exhibition is to reveal a year’s work from Chipping Norton Theatre’s artist in residence.

Paul Sandilands [from Falcutt] has had unlimited access to all areas of the theatre to gain a unique insight into life behind the scenes.

Mr Sandilands said: "Working at the theatre has been very special.  The building has great atmosphere and I hope people who look at my pictures will feel something of what I feel about the place.  My pictures try to celebrate the theatre and all the work that goes on within it – I’ve been lucky and enjoyed every moment."

Mr Sandlilands has covered every angle of the theatre, spending time sitting on the roof drawing the view, and sketching actors in the green room, during rehearsal and in performance.

The exhibition is open now until Saturday July 9 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm and during all performances.
