NEW £460,000 HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN HELMDON IS READY FOR RESIDENTS

An award-winning social housing provider is celebrating the completion of much-needed rural homes in a Banburyshire village.

South Northants Homes (SNH) has finished building four properties in Station Road, Helmdon.  The properties have been completed with funding help from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).  Paul Calland, SNH managing director said: “We and our parent organisation Grand Union Housing are so pleased to know local people will soon be moving into their new homes.

“We worked closely with the district and parish councils to find out about the need for more housing in the village and consulted widely to get the views of people who felt there was a need for these homes.”

The scheme at 22 - 24a Station Road consists of two, two-bed room houses and two, two-bedroom flats with their own gardens and parking.

They have been built with £100,000 from the HCA under its Affordable Homes Programme towards the total of £460,000.
